  • 4 oz (113g) cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons (16g) powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (about 80g) fresh strawberries, finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon (12g) granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter or neutral oil (for brushing)
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)
  • Extra diced strawberries or whipped cream, for serving (optional)
  • Chocolate drizzle or melted white chocolate, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and finely dice 1/2 cup fresh strawberries. Toss with 1 tablespoon granulated sugar in a small bowl and set aside to macerate.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. Lay out 16 wonton wrappers. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of cheesecake filling into the center of each wrapper, then top with 1/2 teaspoon of the sweetened strawberries.
  4. Moisten the edges of each wrapper with water. Fold into a triangle or bring all corners together for a purse shape, pressing to seal tightly.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) while assembling the wontons.
  6. Lightly brush the tops and sides of the filled wontons with melted butter or oil. Arrange in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each.
  7. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 5-6 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Check at the 4-minute mark and adjust temperature if needed.
  8. Remove from the air fryer and let cool for 2-3 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar, drizzle with chocolate, or top with extra strawberries as desired. Serve warm.
