A loaded party bowl combining spicy buffalo sauce, tender steak strips, and sweet honey mustard, perfect for Super Bowl gatherings. This dip is hearty, finger-food friendly, and packed with bold flavors and textures.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (hot sauce mixed with melted butter)
  • 1/4 cup honey mustard (prepared or homemade with equal parts honey and Dijon mustard)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 23 celery sticks, diced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: crumbled blue cheese, chopped fresh parsley, crispy bacon bits

Instructions

  1. Pat the 12 oz steak dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Let rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon oil and sear steak strips for 2-3 minutes per side until browned but juicy. Remove from heat and let rest 5 minutes before slicing thinner if needed.
  3. In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup hot sauce with 2 tablespoons melted butter. Stir until smooth and set aside.
  4. In a medium bowl, blend 8 oz softened cream cheese with 1/2 cup sour cream until smooth and fluffy. Add 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese and mix well.
  5. Fold in diced celery and sliced green onions. Taste and adjust salt and pepper.
  6. Gently fold in cooked steak strips and pour buffalo sauce over the top, swirling lightly to combine but keeping distinct layers.
  7. Drizzle 1/4 cup honey mustard over the bowl in a zigzag pattern.
  8. Sprinkle optional toppings like crumbled blue cheese, chopped parsley, or crispy bacon bits if desired.
  9. Serve immediately warm or at room temperature with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or crusty bread.

Notes

Use a good-quality hot sauce like Frank’s RedHot for authentic buffalo flavor. Soften cream cheese to avoid lumps. Cook steak strips in batches to avoid steaming. Rest steak after cooking to keep juices locked in. Add a splash of milk or more sour cream if dip is too thick. Serve warm or at room temperature. Leftovers keep up to 3 days refrigerated.
