Cinnamon Roll French Toast Bites - featured image

Tiny, bite-sized pieces of heaven that combine the sweet, gooey perfection of cinnamon rolls with the crispy, custardy goodness of French toast. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a late-night snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Store-bought refrigerated cinnamon roll dough
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Powdered sugar (optional)
  • Maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cinnamon roll dough: Remove refrigerated cinnamon roll dough from packaging and cut into bite-sized pieces (about 1-inch cubes).
  2. Make the egg mixture: In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until smooth.
  3. Dip the bites: Dunk each cinnamon roll piece into the egg mixture, coating completely. Allow excess liquid to drip off.
  4. Heat the skillet: Place a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and add butter. Let it melt and spread evenly.
  5. Cook the bites: Place soaked cinnamon roll pieces onto the skillet, leaving space between each piece. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Serve immediately: Transfer cooked bites to a plate, sprinkle with powdered sugar, drizzle with maple syrup, and enjoy while warm.

Notes

[‘Don’t overcrowd the pan to ensure even crisping.’, ‘Use fresh cinnamon rolls for the best results.’, ‘Adjust heat if bites are browning too quickly.’, ‘Add toppings like whipped cream, chocolate drizzle, or fresh berries for extra flair.’]
