Bite-sized stuffing balls packed with savory turkey, tart cranberries, and gooey cheese, perfect for holiday gatherings or repurposing leftovers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups leftover stuffing
  • 1 cup cooked, shredded turkey
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Cheddar, mozzarella, or Gruyère)
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional herbs: sage, thyme, or parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine leftover stuffing, cooked shredded turkey, dried cranberries, shredded cheese, beaten egg, and breadcrumbs. Mix until well combined.
  3. Using a cookie scoop or your hands, roll the mixture into 1½-inch balls. You should end up with about 12-15 balls.
  4. Arrange the balls evenly on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring there’s a little space between them.
  5. Lightly brush the tops of the balls with melted butter to help them crisp up and turn golden in the oven.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the stuffing balls are golden brown and heated through. Rotate the tray halfway through for even cooking.
  7. Let the stuffing balls cool for 5 minutes on the tray before transferring them to a serving platter.

Notes

[‘If the mixture is too dry to form balls, add a splash of chicken broth or extra egg to bring it together.’, ‘If the mixture is too wet, add a bit more breadcrumbs to firm it up.’, ‘Don’t skip the butter brushing—it creates the perfect golden crust while keeping the inside moist.’, ‘Chill the mixture for 10-15 minutes if it feels too soft to roll.’, ‘Customize seasonings with nutmeg, ground cloves, garlic powder, or onion powder for added flavor.’]
