A quick and easy creamy cheesecake dip combining the tang of cream cheese with the sweet, buttery notes of sugar cookie frosting, perfect for dipping fresh strawberries.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (240 ml) sugar cookie frosting
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar (optional)
  • 2 cups (300 g) fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • Optional add-ins: cinnamon, nutmeg, mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese by leaving it out at room temperature for about 30 minutes or microwave in 10-second bursts without melting.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sugar cookie frosting. Beat with a hand mixer on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until creamy and smooth.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract and powdered sugar if using. Mix well and taste to adjust sweetness.
  4. Optional: Cover and refrigerate the dip for 30 minutes to 1 hour to firm up and meld flavors.
  5. Prepare the strawberries by rinsing, hulling, and slicing them. Keep chilled until serving.
  6. Scoop the dip into a serving bowl and arrange strawberries around or on top. Optionally sprinkle mini chocolate chips or crushed sugar cookies over the dip.
  7. If the dip is too thick after chilling, stir in a teaspoon of milk or cream to loosen.

Notes

Use room temperature cream cheese and frosting to avoid lumps. Chill dip for firmer texture or serve immediately for softer dip. Fresh ripe strawberries are best. Can substitute other fresh fruits. For dairy-free, use dairy-free cream cheese and vegan frosting. Prepare up to a day ahead and refrigerate.
