Instructions

  1. Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into ½-inch cubes or thin wedges. Try to make them uniform so they cook evenly.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add the sweet potatoes, olive oil, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder. Toss until the potatoes are evenly coated.
  3. Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and let it preheat for about 3 minutes.
  4. Place the seasoned sweet potato pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding, as this will prevent them from crisping up properly. If needed, cook in batches.
  5. Air fry for 10 minutes, then use tongs or a spatula to flip the pieces. Cook for another 8-10 minutes, checking for crispiness.
  6. The sweet potatoes should be golden brown and crispy on the outside while soft on the inside. If they need more time, air fry for an additional 2-3 minutes.
