A quick and easy crispy French bread pizza topped with garlic butter and a melty three cheese blend, perfect for a comforting meal without the fuss.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 or whole loaf French bread (baguette-style preferred)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced or pressed
  • 1 1/2 cups three cheese blend (mozzarella, sharp cheddar, Parmesan), shredded
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil (optional, for brushing underside of bread)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Slice the French bread lengthwise into two even halves. Cut into smaller portions if desired.
  3. In a small bowl, combine softened unsalted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture generously over the cut sides of the bread.
  5. Sprinkle the three cheese blend evenly over the garlic buttered bread halves, about 3/4 cup per half.
  6. Optionally, sprinkle crushed red pepper flakes over the cheese for heat.
  7. Place the bread halves cut side up on a baking sheet. Optionally brush the underside with olive oil for extra crispness.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and edges of bread are crisp and golden.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool for a couple of minutes. Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley on top.
  10. Slice into individual servings and serve warm.

Notes

Soften butter before mixing with garlic for even flavor. Watch oven closely to avoid burning cheese. For extra crisp bottom, place bread on wire rack over baking sheet. Leftovers reheat best in oven or toaster oven to maintain crispness.
