A healthy yet indulgent treat combining creamy Greek yogurt, fresh strawberries, and rich dark chocolate drizzle, perfect for Valentine’s Day or any special occasion.

  • 1 cup (240 ml) Greek yogurt (full-fat or low-fat)
  • 1 cup (about 150 g) fresh strawberries, sliced or whole
  • 2 oz (60 g) dark chocolate (at least 70% cacao)
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 2 tbsp (15 g) chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans), toasted
  • 1 tsp (5 g) chia seeds (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine Greek yogurt with vanilla extract. If desired, stir in honey or maple syrup until smooth and creamy.
  2. Rinse and pat dry the strawberries. Slice into halves or quarters depending on size, leaving some whole if preferred.
  3. Chop dark chocolate into small pieces. Melt using a double boiler over simmering water or microwave in 20-second bursts, stirring frequently until smooth.
  4. Spoon the vanilla-infused yogurt into a serving bowl or glass. Arrange the sliced strawberries on top or around the edges.
  5. Drizzle the melted dark chocolate thinly over the strawberries using a spoon.
  6. Sprinkle chopped toasted nuts and chia seeds over the bowl. Garnish with whole strawberries or mint leaves if desired.
  7. Serve immediately for a warm chocolate drizzle or refrigerate for 10 minutes to let the chocolate set slightly.

Notes

Melt chocolate slowly over low heat to avoid burning. Use thick Greek yogurt or strain regular yogurt for best texture. Serve immediately or chill briefly to set chocolate. Customize with different fruits, nuts, or chocolate types.
