A quick and easy romantic dessert bowl combining creamy cottage cheese, luscious fruits, and a touch of sweetness, perfect for Valentine’s Day or any special occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (225g) small-curd cottage cheese
  • 1/4 cup (60g) plain full-fat Greek yogurt (optional but recommended)
  • 12 tablespoons honey, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (75g) fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup (75g) fresh blueberries, washed and dried
  • 1 tablespoon dark chocolate shavings (optional, 70% cocoa recommended)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped toasted nuts (almonds or walnuts)
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest
  • Pinch of cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep the fruit: Wash and dry strawberries and blueberries. Hull and slice strawberries into bite-sized pieces. Set aside.
  2. Mix the base: In a medium bowl, combine cottage cheese and Greek yogurt. Stir gently to blend. For a smoother texture, pulse briefly in a food processor for 20 seconds.
  3. Add sweeteners and flavor: Stir in honey, vanilla extract, lemon zest, and cinnamon if using. Mix until combined and fragrant.
  4. Assemble the bowl: Spoon the cottage cheese mixture into serving bowls. Arrange strawberries and blueberries on top.
  5. Add toppings: Sprinkle dark chocolate shavings and toasted nuts over the fruit.
  6. Final touch: Drizzle extra honey on top if desired. Serve immediately or chill for 10 minutes.

Notes

Use small-curd cottage cheese for best texture. Light blending creates a velvety texture but avoid over-blending to keep some curds. Adjust honey to taste to avoid over-sweetening. Fresh ripe berries and finely grated lemon zest brighten the flavor. Store leftovers covered in the fridge up to 24 hours and stir before serving.
