Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pack of smoked kielbasa sausage
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Pinch of garlic powder
  • Pinch of ground black pepper
  • Optional: Fresh parsley, chopped finely

Instructions

  1. Slice the kielbasa into ½-inch thick rounds.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together brown sugar, Dijon mustard, honey, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper to make the glaze.
  3. Preheat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of oil.
  4. Place the kielbasa slices in the skillet in a single layer and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
  5. Reduce the heat to low and pour the glaze over the cooked kielbasa. Stir gently to coat all pieces evenly.
  6. Let the kielbasa simmer in the glaze for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the glaze thickens and becomes sticky.
  7. Transfer the glazed kielbasa bites to a serving plate and garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

[‘Don’t overcrowd the pan to ensure even browning.’, ‘Keep the heat on low when adding the glaze to avoid burning.’, ‘You can prepare the glaze ahead of time and store it in the fridge for up to 3 days.’, ‘Experiment with substitutions like maple syrup instead of honey or white vinegar instead of apple cider vinegar.’]
