These playful pencil-shaped Oreo pops are a fun and easy treat perfect for school parties, combining classic Oreos dipped in smooth chocolate and decorated with colorful sprinkles or edible markers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Oreos (classic or golden)
  • Candy sticks or lollipop sticks
  • 1½ cups (255g) semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
  • White chocolate chips (optional)
  • Colored sprinkles or edible markers
  • 1 teaspoon shortening or coconut oil (optional)
  • Wax paper or parchment paper

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with wax or parchment paper and set aside Oreos and candy sticks.
  2. Carefully push a candy stick through the cream center of each Oreo cookie without breaking the cookie.
  3. Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, or use a double boiler over simmering water. Add shortening or coconut oil if desired for a smoother dip.
  4. Hold each Oreo pop by the stick and dip it into the melted chocolate until fully coated. Let excess chocolate drip back into the bowl.
  5. Before the chocolate sets, decorate with colored sprinkles or use edible markers to draw pencil details. Melt white chocolate separately for additional decoration if desired.
  6. Place dipped Oreos on the lined baking sheet and refrigerate for about 15 minutes or until chocolate hardens.
  7. Serve immediately or store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

Use low heat and patience when melting chocolate to avoid burning. Twist candy sticks gently when inserting to prevent breaking Oreos. Decorate quickly before chocolate sets. Reheat chocolate gently if it thickens during dipping. Gluten-free and vegan substitutions are possible with appropriate ingredients.
