Fresh Watermelon Pizza Recipe with 5 Juicy Fruit Toppings

A refreshing and colorful summer treat featuring a watermelon base topped with a variety of fresh fruits, yogurt, and optional sweet and crunchy toppings. Perfect for quick preparation and crowd-pleasing at gatherings.

  • 1 large seedless watermelon, sliced into 1-inch thick rounds
  • Fresh strawberries, hulled and thinly sliced
  • Blueberries, washed and patted dry
  • Kiwis, peeled and sliced into thin rounds or half-moons
  • Ripe mango, peeled and cubed or sliced
  • Fresh mint leaves, torn or whole for garnish
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt or coconut yogurt
  • Honey or agave syrup, for drizzling (optional)
  • Chia seeds or crushed nuts (pistachios or almonds), for sprinkling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash the watermelon and slice crosswise into approximately 1-inch thick rounds, about 8-10 inches in diameter. Trim edges to create a neat circle if desired.
  2. Carefully cut around the rind on each round to remove it, leaving just the juicy red flesh.
  3. Prepare the fruit toppings: hull and thinly slice strawberries, peel and slice kiwi, peel and cube mango, and wash and dry blueberries.
  4. Dollop about 2-3 tablespoons (30-45 ml) of Greek or coconut yogurt evenly over the watermelon base, spreading gently but leaving some watermelon exposed.
  5. Arrange the sliced strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, and mango over the yogurt layer, balancing colors and shapes without overcrowding.
  6. Tear fresh mint leaves and sprinkle over the top. Drizzle about 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of honey or agave syrup lightly over everything.
  7. Optionally, sprinkle chia seeds or crushed nuts for added texture and nutrition.
  8. Serve immediately to keep the fruit fresh and juicy. If needed, cover loosely and refrigerate for no longer than one hour.

Notes

Pat watermelon dry with paper towels if too watery to avoid soggy yogurt or toppings. Slice watermelon evenly for neat slices. Assemble just before serving to maintain freshness. Use dairy-free yogurt for vegan option. Frozen berries can be used but fresh is best for texture.
