A creamy, spicy jalapeno cream cheese dip that’s perfect for parties and gatherings. Serve it warm or chilled for a crowd-pleasing appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 23 fresh jalapenos, diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (sharp cheddar or Monterey Jack)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Optional: Green onions or cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Wash and dice the jalapenos finely. Remove the seeds for a milder dip or leave them in for extra spice.
  2. Allow the cream cheese to come to room temperature or microwave it for 10-15 seconds to soften.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sour cream together until smooth. Add the shredded cheese, diced jalapenos, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  4. If serving warm, spread the mixture evenly in a baking dish.
  5. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 15 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and slightly golden on top.
  6. Garnish with green onions or cilantro if desired, and serve with tortilla chips, crackers, or veggie sticks.
  7. If serving cold, chill the dip for 30 minutes before garnishing and serving.

Notes

Adjust the spice level by adding or reducing jalapenos. Use freshly shredded cheese for better melting and flavor. Make ahead and refrigerate for convenience.
