  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh raspberries
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons sliced almonds, toasted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
  • Optional toppings: dark chocolate shavings, pomegranate seeds, or granola

Instructions

  1. Toast the almonds: Place 2 tablespoons of sliced almonds in a dry skillet over medium heat. Stir frequently for about 3-4 minutes until golden and fragrant. Watch closely to avoid burning. Set aside to cool.
  2. Prepare the yogurt base: In a medium bowl, combine 2 cups (480 ml) of plain Greek yogurt with 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Stir gently until smooth and fragrant.
  3. Layer the bowl: Spoon half of the vanilla yogurt into your serving bowls or jars. Then add a layer of sliced strawberries (1/2 cup) and raspberries (1/4 cup).
  4. Add toppings: Drizzle 1 tablespoon of honey evenly over the fruit layer. Sprinkle half the chia seeds (1/2 tablespoon) and half the toasted almonds (1 tablespoon) on top. Repeat layering with the remaining yogurt and fruit.
  5. Finish the bowl: Drizzle the remaining honey and sprinkle the rest of the chia seeds and toasted almonds on top. Garnish with a few fresh mint leaves.
  6. Serve immediately: Enjoy fresh, or refrigerate for up to 2 hours if you want it slightly chilled.

Notes

Use thick Greek yogurt to prevent watery texture. Toast almonds carefully to avoid burning. Layer ingredients instead of mixing for better presentation. Drizzle honey and sprinkle chia seeds just before serving to maintain texture. Prepare just before eating for best freshness.
