These sliders combine smoky bacon, sweet maple glaze, and juicy chicken for the ultimate BBQ party treat. Perfectly bite-sized and packed with flavor, they’re sure to impress a crowd.

Ingredients

  • Boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • Thick-cut bacon
  • Pure maple syrup
  • Soft slider buns (brioche or potato rolls)
  • Unsalted butter, melted
  • Garlic powder
  • Smoked paprika
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Optional: sharp cheddar or gouda cheese
  • Optional: mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken: In a mixing bowl, combine garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Rub the mixture over the chicken breasts or thighs.
  2. Cook the chicken: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for 6-8 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  3. Prepare the bacon: Grill or pan-fry the bacon until crispy. Drain excess grease on paper towels and cut each strip into halves or thirds to fit the slider buns.
  4. Make the maple glaze: In a small saucepan, heat the maple syrup over low heat, stirring occasionally. Allow it to simmer gently for 2-3 minutes to slightly thicken.
  5. Butter the buns: Brush the slider buns with melted butter and toast them lightly on the grill or in a skillet.
  6. Assemble the sliders: Start with the bottom bun, add a slice of chicken, a piece of bacon, and a drizzle of maple glaze. Optional: add a slice of cheese and a dollop of mayonnaise.
  7. Top it off: Place the top bun and give it a gentle press to hold everything together.

Notes

Allow the chicken to rest after grilling to lock in juices. Toast the buns for added crunch and to prevent sogginess. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken is cooked to 165°F (75°C).
