These Perfect Cranberry Brie Bites are a festive and delicious appetizer featuring buttery puff pastry, creamy brie, and sweet-tart cranberry sauce. They are quick, easy to make, and perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed and cut into 12 squares
  • 8 ounces brie cheese, cut into small cubes or slices
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (whole berry preferred)
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons honey (optional)
  • Fresh rosemary for garnish
  • 1 egg, mixed with a splash of water for egg wash

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease your muffin tin or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to smooth out creases. Cut into 12 equal squares.
  3. Press each square into the muffin tin cups, ensuring edges slightly overlap the rim to create a basket shape.
  4. Place a small piece of brie cheese into each pastry cup.
  5. Add about a teaspoon of cranberry sauce on top of the brie.
  6. Sprinkle chopped pecans over the cranberry sauce (optional).
  7. Brush the edges of the puff pastry with egg wash.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and the brie is melted.
  9. Let the bites cool slightly before garnishing with fresh rosemary and a drizzle of honey (optional).
  10. Carefully remove the bites from the muffin tin using a spoon or butter knife. Serve warm.

Notes

Make sure puff pastry is completely thawed before using. Avoid overfilling the pastry cups to prevent spillage. Grease the muffin tin thoroughly or use parchment liners for easy removal.
