A bright, fun, and easy-to-make patriotic punch featuring fresh strawberries, blueberries, lemonade, sparkling water, and a creamy sherbet float, perfect for summer parties and casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 4 cups (1 quart) classic lemonade, chilled
  • 2 cups (16 fl oz) sparkling water or club soda, chilled
  • 1 quart vanilla or lemon sherbet
  • Ice cubes (optional)
  • Fresh lemon slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse 1 cup of fresh strawberries, hull and slice them thinly. Rinse 1 cup of blueberries and pat dry.
  2. In a large punch bowl or beverage dispenser, pour 4 cups (1 quart) of chilled lemonade. Optionally add fresh lemon juice from 1 lemon for extra zing.
  3. Gently stir in the sliced strawberries and blueberries into the lemonade.
  4. Slowly add 2 cups (16 fl oz) of chilled sparkling water or club soda. Stir gently to combine without losing the fizz.
  5. Add a handful of ice cubes if desired to keep the punch chilled, but avoid diluting the flavors.
  6. Just before serving, scoop generous dollops (about 1 cup or more) of vanilla or lemon sherbet and gently place them on top of the punch.
  7. Garnish with fresh lemon slices and serve immediately with a ladle or spigot cup.

Notes

Use fresh berries for best flavor and less watery punch. Pre-chill all liquids and serving bowl to keep punch cold longer without diluting. Add sherbet float just before serving to maintain creamy texture. For dairy-free option, substitute sherbet with dairy-free sorbet or coconut milk-based frozen treat. Punch can be prepared up to 24 hours ahead without sherbet; add sherbet just before serving.
