A quick and easy icy cocktail blending fresh or frozen strawberries, lemonade, and vodka for a perfect summer party drink with a tangy, sweet, and boozy kick.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (300g) fresh or frozen strawberries (frozen preferred)
  • 1 ½ cups (360 ml) lemonade
  • ½ cup (120 ml) vodka
  • 12 tablespoons (1530 ml) honey or simple syrup (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup (240 ml) ice cubes (only if using fresh strawberries)

Instructions

  1. If using fresh strawberries, rinse, remove stems, cut into halves or quarters, and freeze for at least 2 hours. No prep needed for frozen strawberries.
  2. Juice lemons to get 2 tablespoons (30 ml) fresh lemon juice and set aside.
  3. In a high-speed blender, combine strawberries, lemonade, vodka, lemon juice, and honey or simple syrup if using.
  4. Add ice cubes if using fresh strawberries; skip if strawberries are frozen solid.
  5. Pulse on medium speed, then blend on high for 30-45 seconds until smooth and slushy.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness or consistency by adding more honey/simple syrup or lemonade as needed, then blend briefly again.
  7. Serve immediately in chilled glasses, garnished with a lemon slice or fresh strawberry if desired.

Notes

Use frozen strawberries for best slushie texture. If using fresh strawberries, freeze them for at least 2 hours and add ice cubes when blending. Adjust sweetness after blending. Avoid over-blending to keep some texture. For a mocktail, omit vodka and substitute with sparkling water or lemon-lime soda. Freeze leftovers in an airtight container for up to 24 hours and pulse again before serving.
